Get To Know: Justine Spann

BOULDER - The next Buff we'd like to introduce you to is Justine Spann. Spann is an outside hitter from Chandler, Ariz. and will be a sophomore in the fall.

1. What is your favorite volleyball memory and why?

Winning back-to-back national championships my freshman and sophomore years in high school.

2. Who is someone you look up to the most and why?

My mom because she has always been my coach and biggest motivator.

3. Name a place you've always wanted to go to but never have been.

The Bahamas.

4. Why did you choose to become a Colorado Buffalo?

The campus is beautiful and there are such amazing people here.

5. What is your favorite TV show?

Gossip Girl

6. Where do you see yourself in five years from now?

Working with an NFL or NBA agency.

7. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with one person who would you want that one person to be?

Lillie Klemmer because there is never a dull moment with the two of us .

8. Do you have any hidden talents?

I'm pretty dang good at football.

9. Did you play in any other sports growing up or in high school?

Track and Field; I did high jump, long jump, triple jump, 100m, and the 4x100m

10. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?

Way too many to count!

11. Who is your best friend and how did you meet?

Khalia Lanier (she plays volleyball at USC). We met in 6th grade at a High Performance volleyball tryout and have been best friends ever since.

12. What is your favorite part about being at the University of Colorado?

Looking at the Flatirons, the view is still breathtaking every day.

13. Name one celebrity you would like to meet and why?

Beyoncé because who wouldn't want to meet Queen B?!
