Buffs Host No. 42 Oregon On Senior Day

BOULDER – This Sunday, April 16, the University of Colorado's women's tennis team will wrap up their 2017 home schedule, hosting the No. 42 Oregon Ducks, while honoring CU's sole senior Nuria Ormeño Ruiz on senior day.
Colorado brings a 9-10 (1-7 Pac-12) record into senior day, and the Buffs are looking to snap a five-match losing streak while recording their second conference win at home this season.
The Ducks carry a 11-9 (4-4 Pac-12) record into the weekend and they've lost their last two matches, both at home. Friday (Apr. 14) Oregon will face the Utah Utes on the western side of the Rocky Mountains before making the short trip over the mountains to Boulder to face CU on Sunday.
Sunday will be all about honoring Ruiz (18-13), as she will leave Colorado with her name sprinkled all over Colorado's record books. Entering her final match in Boulder, Ruiz currently sits ninth on the singles total wins' list with 79 all-time wins, she also sits ninth with 17 wins at the No. 1 spot all-time at CU.
She's also impressively, ranked 18th all-time in doubles wins with 57, which when added to her singles wins total gives her 136 combined wins ranking her 12th all-time at CU giving her another top-15 ranking.
Junior Kyra Wojcik (9-12), sophomores Annabelle Andrinopoulos (12-13) and Brigitte Beck (3-11) along with freshman Chloe Hule (11-14) will all look to snag one last win on home courts for the season, and they'll be looking to help give Ruiz a winning send off.
