Choi Named WGCA All-American Scholar

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida – University of Colorado golfer Robyn Choi earned golf's top academic honor as she was named All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association here Wednesday.
 
The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars announced a total of 952 women's collegiate golfers with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
 
Choi, a Gold Coast, Queensland Australia native, is currently an open major heading into her sophomore year at Colorado. In her first season, Choi played 25 rounds averaging a 75.64. Choi registered one top five finish and helped the Buffs to its best conference finish in school history.
 
In total, 952 collegiate golfers from all three division programs were recognized, 19 of which from the Pac-12 Conference.
 
Choi will also represent the Buffs this summer in the 2017 U.S. Women's Open event held July 13-16 at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
