Get To Know Jaden Newsome

The next freshman we would like to introduce you to is #5 Jaden Newsome. Newsome is a native of Houston, Texas, and is a setter.
Getting to Know…
1. What is your favorite volleyball memory and why?
My favorite volleyball memory would have to be leading my high school team to playoffs for the first time in 6 years.
2. Who is someone you look up to the most and why?
My mom! She's a very hardworking person and finds the positives in all situations and does what best for me and loves me of course!!
3. Name a place you've always wanted to go to but never have been.
BORA BORA!!!! The water is gorgeous and I've always want to stay in those little tiki houses!!
4. Why did you choose to become a Colorado Buffalo?
It's the perfect fit!! From the campus to the education you receive at CU, as well as the high level volleyball conference!!
5. What is your favorite TV show?
Criminal Minds!
6. Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
Five years from now, I want to be playing professional volleyball.
7. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with one person who would you want that one person to be?
If I had to be stranded with someone on an island, I would choose Bear Grylls! He would save us both
8. Do you have any hidden talents?
Not that I know of.
9. Did you play in any other sports growing up or in high school?
I played basketball when I was little and then in middle school I ran some track!
10. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?
Too many to count, I want more!! I love shoes!
11. Who is your best friend and how did you meet?
Brooke Hickl, we met playing high school volleyball junior year!!
12. What is your favorite part about being at the University of Colorado?
Definitely looking at the Flatirons, the view is amazing!!!
13. Name one celebrity you would like to meet and why?
NO DOUBT ODELL BECKHAM!!!! He's like celebrity crush to the max!!
