CU to Host Food Drive Saturday

BOULDER - The University of Colorado Athletic Department will host a food drive before the CU Football vs. Washington game on Saturday, September 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to donate a canned food item to benefit Community Food Share to help fight hunger in Boulder and Broomfield counties.  September is hunger action month. A month where people all over America stand together with Feeding America and the nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger. It's a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis, and dedicate ourselves to a solution. Â
Any factory sealed canned good is welcome but the most needed food items include:
