Colorado Gears Up For Busy Month, Starting At Betsy Rawls Invitational

BOULDER — The University of Colorado women's golf team will compete this weekend at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas, Oct. 19-21, at UT Golf Club.

The tournament format is 18-holes each day on the par 72, 6,491-yard course. Friday and Saturday's action begins at 7 a.m. MT with tee times and Sunday will have a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. MT. Other teams completing include: Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Kent State, New Mexico, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulane.

Longhorn Network will provide coverage of the tournament in a tape-delayed package on November 9, from 7-9 p.m. CT.

This will be the first of three tournaments in a little over three weeks for the Buffs. The second tournament is the Trinity Forest Invitational, Oct. 29-30, followed by the Pac-12 Preview, Nov. 5-7.

"We have three back-to-back tournaments," head coach Anne Kelly said. "It'll be a busy finish in the fall. I think the goal for the rest of this fall is to get a little more consistency, get rid of a lot of the mental mistakes we're making, and give people experience. Then, I think we'll have a good idea of where we stand, what we need to work on, and get ready for the spring."

IN OTHER NEWS: Current University of Colorado junior Robyn Choi is competing at the LPGA Q-school stage two tournament in Venice, Fla. Through 3 rounds, she is tied for 18^th with a 2-under 214. She recorded an even 72 in the first 18 and then a pair of 1-under 71's in the following two rounds. The fourth and final round is set for Thursday.
