Choi Earns Spot In LPGA Q-Series

VENICE, Fla. — University of Colorado junior Robyn Choi finished the LPGA Q-school stage 2 tournament tied for 21st, which earned her a spot in the eight-round Q-Series, the final stage of the LPGA Q-school.
Choi recorded a 2-under 286 in the four day tournament. She shot an even 72 in the first round and then recorded back-to-back 1-under 71s in the next two rounds. She finished the tournament by shooting another even 72.
In the first round on Monday, she tallied three birdies to even out three bogeys and made par on the remaining 12 holes. The second and third days saw her record three birdies, two bogeys and 13 pars for a 1-under 71 each day, which also put her at 2-under for the tournament. Her final round saw her earn three birdies, three bogeys and 12 pars to stay even on the day.
In total, 41 advanced to the final stage of Q-school, which will take place Oct. 24-Nov. 3 at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
