CU Ski Team Day At Eldora, March 3

February 27, 2018 | Skiing

Event will be highlighted by a dual slalom race and a special $99 lift ticket & lunch voucher package is available to CU alumni and fans

BOULDER — The Colorado ski team will host a CU Ski Team Day on Saturday, March 3, for team members, alumni, and Buffalo faithful at its home resort of Eldora, just 21 miles west of Boulder.

The event is designed to be a fun day to meet and see the team in action and will be highlighted by a dual slalom event on the Chute race trail, acting as a sendoff for the Buffs before next week's NCAA Championships.

"It is a day we should take off our worries about NCAA Championship at least for one moment and enjoy a little racing on a hill we know well at Eldora and do something for our partnership," head coach Richard Rokos said. "Between CU and Eldora and us training there all the time, it will make for a good, fun day."

The day will start with the dual slalom race at 10 a.m. and will follow at 11 a.m. with CU team members skiing with Eldora's TREK ski school classes, featuring kids aged 6-12.

Eldora is offering a special CU package for the event – for $99 you will get a lift ticket and a lunch voucher valued at $20. If fans who do not need a lift ticket wish to come up and join in on the festivities, the lunch voucher will be available for purchase separately at $16 for $20 worth of food. To claim the deal, please bring the certificate that you can access via the link at the top of the page to registration, which will take place in Eldora's West Wing building on Saturday morning between 8 and 9:30 a.m. You can simply show that certificate on your phone or print out a copy to bring up with you.

Food vouchers can be used at ay of Eldora's food-and-beverage outlets, and a group lunch for attendees will be held at noon on the West Wing deck or inside the West Wing (location dependent on the weather).

The team will be handing out posters and signing autographs during the lunch hour and Chip will be in attendance skiing down the hill on the Chute race trail.
