CU Girls Basketball Camps To Take Place In June

March 13, 2018 | Women's Basketball

BOULDER – Colorado's women's basketball team will host several camps in the month of June to help girls improve their skills on the basketball court. All abilities and age levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced high school players looking to play at the collegiate level.

CU will host four different camps during a three-week period in June on campus in CU's Coors Events Center arena, practice courts and outdoor courts, and the campus's Student Rec Center.

The Elite Skill Camp runs June 16-17 and is $90 for students ages 14-18. It is designed to take a player's game to the next level with an emphasis on developing high-level skills, while receiving individualized instruction from the CU coaching staff. Advanced individual and team concepts focusing on offensive and defensive fundamentals will be taught.

The Little Dribblers Camp will be held in two separate sessions, one from June 11-14 and the other June 25-28. The cost is $160 and is tailored for children 5-9 years old. It is for first-time campers or campers who would benefit from a half-day camp with an emphasis on learning basketball skills, rules of the game and sportsmanship.

The Individual Camp is also in two separate sessions with one June 11-14 and another June 25-28. The cost is $325 for children 9-14 years old. It is designed for players looking to develop and refine their fundamental skills in a fun and entertaining environment. The sessions will offer specialized basketball instruction in both offensive and defensive areas.

The Team Camp runs June 22-24 and the cost is $600 per team with separate divisions for high school, JV and freshman (C Team) teams. The purpose of the Team Camp is for teams looking to improve their play through skill instruction and competition in the summer. Each team is guaranteed at least six games and will be officiated by high school and/or college referees.
