Buffs Continue To Hold Their Own In National Rankings

BOULDER — The Colorado women's lacrosse is ranked 16th in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Poll and is 17th in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media and NIKE/US Lacrosse Magazine polls.
 
The Buffs are now 9-4 overall and are tied for first in the Pac-12 Conference standings with a 6-1 mark after recording a pair of victories last week in Boulder. CU upset then-No. 16 Southern California, 10-7, on April 6, before defeating Arizona State 16-3 on Sunday.
 
The Pac-12 Conference has three teams ranked this week. Stanford, which is 11-3 overall and is tied with CU with a 6-1 mark in conference play, leads the conference in all three polls. The Cardinal is 11th in the media poll and is 12th in the other two polls. USC is 18th in the USL Poll and 20th in the coaches poll. The Trojans are receiving votes in the media poll this week. Oregon is not ranked, but is receiving votes in the media and USL polls.
 
Colorado has a pivotal week of games coming up in Northern California this week. The Buffs face Stanford on Friday, April 13, at 8 p.m. MT in Stanford, Calif. Then on Sunday, April 15, CU will head to Berkeley, Calif. to square off against the Cal Bears at 1 p.m. MT.
