10 Buffs Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

BOULDER — The University of Colorado women's lacrosse team placed 10 on the Pac-12 All-Academic Teams for the 2018 season.
 
Junior Olivia Aschman and sophomore Audrey Kingdom were named to the first team, while senior Carly Cox was selected to the second team. Sarah Brown, Sophie Castillo, Anna Collawn, Kelsie Garrison, Julia Lisella. Samantha Nemirov and Caroline Perry were awarded honorable mention honors.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or better, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed at least one full year at their current institution prior to the start of the season, and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's games. Twelve athletes are named to the first team and another 12 are on the second team.
 
Colorado finished the 2018 season with a 14-6 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The Buffs also won the inaugural regular season Pac-12 Championship with a 9-1 mark and reached as high as 14th in the IWLCA Poll.
