Collier Signs With German Professional Team

Repine Earns NABC Academic Honor
BOULDER – Recent University of Colorado graduate Dominique Collier has signed a professional contract to play basketball in Germany this fall.
Collier will join FC Schalke 04, which will play in the German ProA League after being promoted from the ProB this past season. The FC Shalke 04 organization, which also has a background in professional soccer, will play in Germany's second-highest league for the first time since 2015.
Schalke was 16-6 in the ProB North Division in 2017-18 and advanced to the league semifinal round. Collier is scheduled to join his new team in time for training camp, Aug. 1.
Collier was a four-year letterwinner for the Buffaloes and ranks 11th in career 3-pointers made and attempted (126-343), 13th in games played (121), 21st in steals (98) and 221 in assists.
A native of Denver, Collier was the 2017-18 Co-Pac-12 Conference Sixth Man of the Year. He was second in the Pac-12 in 3-point shooting during league play at 48 percent and ranked 14th in that same category in all games at 39 percent. Collier was fourth on the team in scoring as a senior at 7.5 points per game while ranking second in assists (46) and 3-point field goals and third in steals (18).
REPINE EARNS NABC ACADEMIC HONOR
Senior guard Josh Repine was named to the 2017-18 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court the organization announced on Tuesday.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. In order to be named to the Honors Court, each student-athlete must meet several criteria, most notably being a junior or senior academically and owning at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
A native of Englewood, Colo., Repine graduated in May with his degree in Business with emphases in Finance and Accounting. He received the team's Most Inspirational Award and the Ceal Barry Leadership Award at the Athletic Department's annual CUSPY Awards.
