Pregame:

The Buffaloes (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12) are coming off a bye week with their most recent game being a 34-31 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils on the road. The Wildcats (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12) are coming off a 20-17 win over UCLA.
Both teams are undefeated in conference play with the winner of this contest claiming sole possession of first place in the Pac-12 south.
The Buffaloes are 28-23 following a bye since World War II and 2-5 after a bye since joining the Pac-12. The Buffs have won two of their past three games following a bye, with wins over UCLA in 2016 and 2018.
The Colorado Buffaloes received votes in the two major polls this past week but still have not cracked the top 25.
