Moeller, Spruce Off To Fast Start In AAF

Through four weeks of The Alliance of American Football's inaugural season, former Colorado players Ryan Moeller and Nelson Spruce have stood out for the San Diego Fleet.
Ryan Moeller established himself as one of San Diego's most valuable defensive players early on, leading the team with 18 tackles (11 solo) at the season's midway point. He also has a team-high two interceptions, which is tied for second-most in the AAF through four weeks. Moeller became the only player in the alliance to record interceptions in each of the first two weeks, picking off San Antonio's Logan Woodside and Atlanta's Matt Simms.
Nelson Spruce caught the first receiving touchdown in Fleet franchise history, a three-yard grab from Phillip Nelson in the first quarter of a Week 3 matchup with San Antonio. The Nelsons connected again for an 18-yard touchdown that put San Diego on top 20-8 just before halftime. On the season, Spruce has amassed 131 yards and two touchdowns on 11 receptions, ranking among the top 15 in each category midway through the season.
Kenneth Olugbode has recorded five tackles (two solo) on the season.
Gerrad Kough also joined the Fleet on February 12 prior to Week 2.
