April 25, 2019 | Lacrosse
BOULDER —University of Colorado senior attacker Miranda Stinson has been drafted by the New England Command, the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) announced on Thursday.
Â
Stinson becomes the third Buffalo drafted into the WPLL, joining Sarah Brown and Paige Soenksen.
Â
"Miranda Stinson is one of the quickest dodgers in the country," Amy Patton, WPLL Command Head Coach said. "Her first step and her speed give her the ability to get to the goal cage no matter how tough the defensive pressure may be. We see her adding in to the Command as a top dodger, and somebody who can be an incredible threat in transition."
Â
The CU leader in points (66), goals (53), draw controls (48), ground balls (33) and caused turnovers (22), leads the Pac-12 Conference in goals and is second in points. Nationally she ranks 14th in goals per game (3.53) and is 28th in points (3.30).
Â
Earlier this season, Stinson became just the third Buff to record 200 points. She ranks third all-time in CU points (210), goals (160) and is fourth in assists (50).
