LCDP Virtual Resources During This Time

BOULDER - CU's Scripps and Leadership Development Program is proactively adapting to our ever-changing situation. Our number one priority continues to be providing excellent personalized resources and growth opportunities to our student-athletes, including unique and individualized career development plans and leadership opportunities, allowing them to prepare for their time after CU. A current list of new virtual resources include:
- One-on-one virtual meetings to develop and continue on their individualized career pathway, which helps student-athletes stay on top of goals throughout their entire career at CU and create a smoother transition out of college and athletics.
- Corporate webinars with top local and national companies, aimed at giving student-athletes an inside look at specific roles they might be interested in and learn about upcoming jobs and internships. To register for these opportunities, log on to BuffsGoPro.com! Current webinars include:Â
- Oracle - Monday, April 6, noon to 1 p.m. MDT
- VF Corporation - Monday, April 13, noon to 1 p.m. MDT
- PwC PricewaterhouseCoopers - Monday, April 20, noon to 1 p.m. MDT
- Team specific workshops can be customized to fit the needs and availability of each team. Sample opportunities include unique student-athlete skills identification, career and job interest surveys, resume workshops and more.
- Assistance with grad school application materials including personal essay support and guidance.
- Weekly targeted social media resources to increase productivity. Topics include:
- Finding a job in an uncertain time
- Resume tips and best practices
- Job search and application
- Interviews
- Freshmen-specific resources and goal setting
- Senior-specific resources and action planning
