Boee Named RMISA Skier of the Meet

BOULDER – Sophomore Magnus Boee's fantastic start to the season was honored by the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Thursday as he was named the RMISA Skier of the Meet for the RMISA Invitational at Utah, hosted by Soldier Hollow Sunday and Monday.
Boee won the 10K freestyle race to open the season on Friday, picking up his fourth career win and second in the freestyle discipline. He won the interval start race in a time of 21:24.3, holding off a pair of Alaska Anchorage skiers in second and third about 7-10 seconds behind him. The next day, he finished fourth in 20K classic race in a time of 53:23.2.
The award is given to the top skier combined in the two races, and can only be won once per season. Last season, Boee won for the two RMISA Qualifier races when he finished first in the classic race and second in the freestyle.
