Colorado Concludes Action At Air Force

USAFA- Colorado track and field concluded the 2021 Air Force Invitational Saturday with numerous athletes placing in the top-eight.

Tamia Badal concluded her three rounds of hurdles with a sixth place finish in the 60 hurdles at 8.77. In the sprints, Jaida Drame ran 58.32 in the 400 to finish seventh.

The women's high jump was one of the better scoring events for Colorado with Kylee Harr placing seventh with a jump of 5-7, while freshman Allie Routledge cleared 5-3 to tie for ninth. The CU women also had Lauren Whyrick throw 38-7.75 in the shot put and Elena Opp throw 35-5.75 while Meghan Whyrick debuted at 34-5.5 and Gya'ni Sami tossed 32-10.25.

On the men's side, Ian Gilmore ran 7.01 in the men's 60 to finish sixth as the lone CU jerseyed male runner. Henry Carlson placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 49-2.25 and Lars Atkinson threw 40-5.

The final competitor for the men was Steven Fossi-Noue, a grad transfer in the triple jump. He jumped 47-10 in his debut, just two inches from a top-10 performance.

Colorado returns to action next weekend for the first of three straight indoor meets in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the host of the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships.
