Colorado Set For Clover Cup
March 11, 2021 | Women's Golf
BOULDER — The busy week continues for the Colorado women's golf team as it prepares to play its second tournament this week in Arizona.
Â
The Buffaloes just wrapped up play at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational, March 8-9, in Tucson, Ariz., and are set to play the Clover Cup. March 12-14, in Mesa, Ariz.
Â
Notre Dame usually hosts the Clover Cup, but due to COVID-19, Arizona State has stepped in to host the event this year at the 6,184-yard, par-72 Longbow Golf Club.
Â
Teams will play one round each day. The field is made up of 12 teams. Besides the host Arizona State and Colorado, the other teams include Cincinnati, Clemson, Colorado State, FIU, Grand Canyon, Houston, Oklahoma, TCU and UNLV.
Â
Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.
Â
Colorado's lineup for this tournament is slightly different. Malak Bouraeda will switch positions with Kirsty Hodgkins, putting Bouraeda at No. 1 and Hodgkins at No. 2. Ellie Gower has moved to No. 3 and Alisha Lau will play at the No. 4 spot. Issy Simpson will play in her first tournament this spring in the fifth spot, while Hailey Schalk has the opportunity to play as an individual.
Â
The Buffs are paired with FIU and CSU for round one. They will tee off from the 10th hole starting at 9:03 a.m. MT.
