ARGYLE, Texas – The Colorado women's golf team slipped from 10th to 11th on Monday in the final round of The Bruzzy, recording a three-round score of 885.

No. 7 Oklahoma State finished the tournament 15-under after shooting a 4-over 292 in the third round. The Cowboys recorded an 849 to best No. 30 Texas Tech (862), which finished 2-under for second-place. The tournament host, No. 38 North Texas, placed third overall with a 1-over 865.

The 885 is the best tournament score for CU this season, bettering its 888 from The Clover Cup (March 12-14). Colorado carded a 297 in the final round of play on Monday at the 6,421-yard, par 72 Lantana Golf Club to go with rounds of 296 and 292 from Sunday. The Buffs led the 15-team field with 181 pars.

Junior Malak Bouraeda recorded her third top-20 finish of the season, tying for 15th. She recorded a 2-over 74 in her final round to finish 1-over for the tournament. She recorded four birdies and made nine pars in her last 18-holes as well as four bogeys and one double. Â Her 217 (70-73-74) is her best scorecard of the season.

Senior Kirsty Hodgkins also earned a top-25 finish, tying for 22nd overall. She finished with a 219, which was 3-over. Hodgkins saved the best for last, After rounds of 75 and 73 on Sunday, she recorded a 1-under 71 on Monday. Starting on the 12th hole, she made par and followed it up with a birdie on No. 13. She made par on the following seven holes before recording a bogey on No. 3. But she came back on No. 4 with another birdie to go back to 1-under for the round.

She made par again on No. 5 and sank a birdie on No. 6. She was 2-under as she finished the front nine, but a bogey on No. 10 put her back at 1-under. Hodgkins hung on and finished her round on the next hole making par.

Finishing tied for 40th was junior Alisha Lau. She was 7-over for the tournament (223) and finished Monday with a 76. She recorded one birdie and made 13 pars as well as three bogeys and one double.

Sophomore Ellie Gower tied for 53rd overall. She finished with a 10-over 226. She made 39 pars during the tournament, which was the second-most by any player, and 14 of those were in her third round. She also had one birdie and two bogeys while hitting a 76 for her final 18.

Freshman Hailey Schalk recorded a 235 and tied for 75th. She made 11 pars in her final round as well as one birdie and four bogeys.

"We see good signs of progress and things are getting better slowly," Colorado coach Anne Kelly said. "It's a young team that is coming off a one-year break from competition and it requires time and experience to really get to the next level. We will continue to work hard and push through and the results will come. I'm proud of Kirsty who played well today in tougher conditions; windy and more difficult hole locations."

Oklahoma State's Lianna Bailey took home medalist honors, finishing 11-under. She carded a final round of 70 to total a three-round score of 205. Her scorecard was eight strokes better than the next best total of 213, which was carded by North Texas' Audrey Tan and Miami's Nataliya Guseva.

The Buffaloes will be back in action April 5-7 when they co-host The Silverado in Napa, Calif.
