Nordic Buffs Head To Sun Valley For MSU Invitational

KETCHUM, Idaho–The Colorado Buffaloes Nordic Ski Team has traveled from Midway, Utah, to Ketchum, Idaho this past week and is prepared to take on teams from across the RMISA in the Montana State Invitational, held here in conjunction with the Sun Valley Nordic Invitational this weekend.

A USSS Super Tour event, the races will be held in conjunction with Montana State and Intermountain Cross Country.

After two days of training on the course, the races begin Saturday with the women's 5K and men's 10K freestyle races. The women's race will start at 9:30 a.m. MT in an interval format followed by the men's race starting at 11:30 a.m. Sunday's action will feature the men's 15K and women's 10K classic races with the men's race slated to start at 9:30 a.m. and the women's race set for 11:30 a.m.

The Buffs, who finished third in the Utah Invitational which pulled results from the U.S. National Championships last week, will be aided in strength by the return of Anna-Maria Dietze on the women's side and Ryan Jackson and Oyvind Haugan on the men's side.
