Hurta became the second woman in CU history to be named the Pac-12 Woman of the Year after she won the 2021 NCAA Mile National Champion and earned her second Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team honor. Hurta's three total Academic All-America honors tied her with six other Buffaloes to accomplish the achievement.
Â
She finished her career with a national runner-up finish in the 1,500-meter as the NCAA Outdoor Championships, giving her seven total All-America finishes including becoming the second-ever four-time cross country All-American for CU women. Hurta turned pro following the NCAA Championships and raced in the 800-meter run at the 2020 USATF Olympic Trials.
