Oregon Sweeps the Buffs

EUGENE, Ore. – The Colorado Buffaloes Tennis team fell to No. 47 Oregon 4-0 Friday afternoon at the Student Tennis Center in Eugene, Oregon. The Buffs fall to 8-6 overall and 0-3 in the Pac-12.

How it Happened

Oregon began the match with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles from Myah Petchey and Karin Young over Ellen Puzak and Betina Tokac.
The Buffs got their first and only win of the day at No. 2 doubles behind a 6-4 win from Mila Stanojevic and Elys Ventura over Jo-Yee Chan and Ares Teixido Garcia.
The Ducks clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles from Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez over Antonia Balzert and Aya El Sayed.
Oregon got singles action started with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles from Jo-Yee Chan over Carri Hayes.
The Ducks extended their lead with a win at No. 2 singles from Ares Teixido Garcia over Elys Ventura 6-3, 6-2.
Oregon clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles from Myah Petchey over Mila Stanojevic.
No. 4 singles between Aya El Sayed and Uxia Martinez Moral remained unfinished in the second set with a score of 4-6, 5-5.
