Buffs to Confront Cyclones on the Road

Colorado will match up with Iowa State in Ames this week
BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team (11-14, 4-9 Big 12) goes on the road this week to size up Iowa State (9-13, 3-8 Big 12) in a one match week.
The Buffs will take a quick trip to Ames, Iowa, for a match up with the Cyclones at Hilton Coliseum on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. MT. This is the 58th meeting all-time between CU and Iowa State, and the first meeting of the two teams since Colorado moved back to the Big 12 Conference. The last time the Black and Gold met the Cyclones was a four-set win for Colorado in 2013 (Dec. 6).
Colorado split its two home matches last week against then-No. 23 Utah and Cincinnati. The Buffs fell in four sets to the Utes but snapped its losing streak with a sweep over the Bearcats. CU is now 14-19 all-time against Utah and 2-0 versus Cincinnati.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING: So. MB Cayla Payne recorded her first double-double of both season and career with 10 kills and 11 blocks over the then-23rd-ranked Utah Utes (Nov. 6). Sr. S Taylor Simpson recorded her fifth double-double of the season (ninth of her career) against Utah with 25 assists and 11 digs (Nov. 6).
MILESTONE WATCH: So. OH Sydney Jordan has 276 career kills, 24 away from 300. So. OH Ana Burilovic has 281 career digs, 19 away from 300. Sr. S Taylor Simpson is 90 assists away from 3,000. Jr. DS/L Sarah Morton has 293 digs at CU, seven away from 300. So. OPP Lily Dwinell has 88 career digs, 12 away from 100. So. DS/L Avery Bolles has 83 career aces, 17 away from 100, and 181 career digs, 19 away from 100.
MILESTONE CHECK: So. OPP Lily Dwinell reached 400 career kills against #23 Utah last week (Nov. 6) and now sits at 412. So. MB Cayla Payne got her 100th block of the season against #23 Utah (Nov. 6) and now sits at 114 on the season, 185 in her career.

- Jr. DS/L Emilea Stepaniuk matched her career-high in digs with 12 against Utah (Nov. 6). She is averaging 1.60 digs per set in 35 sets played.
- So. OH Ana Burilovic hit .407 in Colorado's sweep over Cincinnati on Saturday and totaled 14 kills. She is averaging 3.48 kills per set.
