Sydney Jordan and Cayla Payne to Participate in WNTOP

BOULDER — The 2024 USA Volleyball Women's National Team Open Program is taking place this weekend in Colorado Springs, where CU's very own Sydney Jordan and Cayla Payne will be in attendance. It is scheduled for Feb. 23-25 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
The WNT Open Program is used for consideration for selection to both the U.S. Women's National Team and the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team. The program is available to current and recently graduated, college-age athletes born in the years 1999-2005 inclusive.
USA Volleyball's Women's National Team will compete in the following events in 2024: Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Pan American Cup, Volleyball Nations League, and the NORCECA Final Six.
Jordan and Payne will take part in their sophomore campaigns this upcoming fall, after each having successful freshman seasons.
In 44 sets played, Jordan had 26 kills on 68 total attacks. Payne was one of five Buffaloes with at least 100 or more kills during the 2023 season, tallying 106 on 225 total attacks. Both will look to take on a larger role next season for Colorado after the departure of multiple starters.
