Colorado's Glynn Concludes Season at U.S. Olympic Team Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Colorado's Abbey Glynn concluded her season at the United States Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field on Saturday, June 29.
Glynn competed in the third heat of the 400-meter hurdles semifinals, finishing sixth in her heat and 14th overall with a time of 56.08 in a star-studded field.
CU alumna Carrie Verdon fell to the middle of the pack in the 10,000-meter run around the 1,200-meter mark and could not separate herself, finishing 11th with a time of 32:28.07, ending her quest for an Olympic bid.
The Buffaloes will have three athletes attempting to secure a spot on the Olympic team on the final day of team trials. Incoming freshman Scottie Vines will compete in the men's high jump finals at 4:30 p.m. MT after finishing 10th in the first round, clearing 2.19 meters on his last jump.
Graduating senior Jada Green, who threw a school record of 54.42 meters in her second throw to advance to Sunday's final, will compete at 5:20 p.m. MT. Green currently sits in sixth place.
The final Buffalo to compete will be alumna Dani Jones in the 1,500 meters at 6:09 p.m. MT. Jones had an eventful semifinals, stumbling in the final 100 meters but managing to catch her balance and reach the finish line to qualify for the finals. Jones entered the trials with the seventh-best time.
In each of the finals, the top three athletes will advance to the Olympics if they meet the Olympic standards. Currently, Jones is the only one of the three who has met the standard for her event.
