Buffs Draft Picks On Summer League Rosters

BOULDER – Colorado's three recent NBA Draft picks will represent their new squads for the NBA 2K25 Summer League, July 12-22, in Las Vegas.
Cody Williams was the 10th overall pick by the Utah Jazz, Tristan da Silva was selected 18th overall by the Orlando Magic and KJ Simpson was a second-round selection, 42nd overall, by the Charlotte Hornets.
The 2024 NBA Draft was a historic one for the Buffaloes, marking the first time the program has had two first round picks as well as three in the first two rounds. Colorado joined UConn and Kentucky as the only programs to have at least three players selected in this year's draft class.
Williams will have a chance to showcase his talents in three extra games as the Jazz host their own Salt Lake City Summer League, beginning Monday, July 8, at 7 p.m. against Memphis.
Simpson is part of Charlotte's summer league roster but will not be playing as he recovers from a hamstring injury suffered during the pre-draft process. According to the Hornets, he is expected to be ready to go for the team's training camp this fall. Charlotte began summer league play early at the California Classic in Sacramento and San Francisco on July 6.
All NBA 2K25 Summer League teams will play five games while in Las Vegas. The top four teams will meet in the semifinals on July 21 with the championship game on July 22. The remaining 26 teams will play a fifth game either July 20 or 21 with opponent and time to be determined.
