Buffs Stay Alive After Day 3 of Battle in the Bay Classic

El Sayed and Stanojevic head into doubles consolation finals
SAN FRANCISCO – The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team is staying alive heading into the last day of the Battle in the Bay Classic, with wins in doubles and singles competition.
Two Buffs secured their doubles win to start the day, capturing their spot in the consolation finals. Aya El Sayed and Mila Stanojevic defeated Taylor Goetz and Vivian Yang of Pepperdine, 8-4.
Not only did the pair secure their doubles victory, but it also gave Stanojevic her 100th career win.
Moving into singles competition, Stanojevic fell to Anastaysia Komar of Oklahoma State, finishing her singles competition in San Francisco.
El Sayed pushes into the next round of singles, defeating Sally Pethybridge of Portland. El Sayed brought it to the 10-point set, downing Pethybridge 10-5.

The Buffs will finish at the Battle in the Bay Class on Sunday, starting off with doubles competition at 10 a.m. (MT).
