
Buffs Wrap Up Nuttycombe Invite in Madison

MADISON, Wis. — The Colorado Buffaloes cross country team competed in the annual Nuttycombe Invite Friday morning, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
Colorado sent their men's squad to compete in two separate 8K races, which included 11 student-athletes.
Amongst 24 schools in the 8K Championship race, Colorado finished 8th overall with 274 points as a team. Isaiah Givens captured the highest finish for CU, completing the event in just under 24 minutes (23:59.9) while placing 30th.
Dean Casey (24:14.5) and Kole Mathison (24:16.3) rounded out as the top three finishers for the Buffs, placing 55th and 58th overall.
The Buffs three runners in the "B" race all finished inside the top-15. Wilson Georges claimed the top spot for CU in the event (6th) with a time of 24:34.6.
Christopher Cherry placed two spots below Georges (8th) for a time of 24:44.1. The sophomore Conner Wingfield, snagged the 14th spot (25:09.5).
