BOULDER— The start time for the Colorado Classic has been delayed by one hour due to anticipated inclement weather, Colorado announced Friday.

With forecasts predicting adverse conditions, officials postponed the start to prioritize the safety of participants, spectators, and staff. The meet, originally scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., will now start at noon. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

"Safety is always our top priority," said meet director Casey Malone. "We are closely monitoring weather conditions and will make further adjustments if necessary."

The highly anticipated men's mile race is now scheduled for 12:45 p.m., followed by the women's mile at 12:55 p.m. Both races will aim to break the IPF Facility and Colorado soil records, adding to the event's excitement.
