January 29, 2025 | Men's Basketball
BOULDER – The renewal of the most-played rivalry in Colorado men's basketball history will be staged in front of a packed house at the CU Events Center as the Kansas game on Monday, Feb. 24, has officially been declared a sellout.
The Buffaloes and Jayhawks will battle for the 166th time as part of ESPN's "Big Monday" package with a 9 p.m. MT tip. The teams will also meet in Lawrence, Kan., on Tuesday, Feb. 11, before the return game in Boulder.
Colorado is designating this as its "Buffs Wear Black" game, encouraging all fans wear their best CU black gear.
It will be the first meeting between the two programs in Boulder since Dec. 7, 2013, in one of the most memorable games in modern Buffaloes history as Askia Booker's 30-foot heave at the buzzer downed the No. 6-ranked Jayhawks, 75-72 in front of a crowd of 11,113.
Colorado's last home sellout came on Feb. 26, 2022, as the Buffaloes defeated No. 2 Arizona 79-63 backed by a capacity crowd of 11,079. The Colorado-Kansas series accounts for 10 of the top 25 attendance figures all-time at the CU Events Center.
CU Boulder Student Sports Pass holders will be able to claim their tickets beginning at 10 a.m. MT on Monday, Feb. 17. The claim window for the Baylor game on Saturday, Feb. 22, will also open at this time.
Tickets are available for Colorado's four other remaining home games, including a match-up with current No. 6 (AP) / No. 5 (Coaches) Houston on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at https://cubuffs.com/tickets.
