Buffs Set to Compete at Border Dual in Fort Collins

BOULDER — Colorado's throws and multi-event group will make the short trip north to Fort Collins this weekend to compete in the Border Dual, hosted by Colorado State University and featuring regional rivals CSU and the University of Wyoming.
A select group of student-athletes will represent the Buffs on Saturday, including Nick Bianco, John Swabik, John Bass, Jackson Meyer, Drake Miller, Lucas Williams, and Ames Newman on the men's side. The women's group will feature Riley Burkey, Ava Goetz, Riley Ward, Eva Bruce, Ayianna Johnson, Amanda Opp, Elena Opp, and Alaina Fantaski.
This weekend's meet will serve as one of the final tune-ups before the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set for May 15–17 in Lawrence, Kan.
Field events begin at 10 a.m. MT with the men's hammer throw, followed by the women's high jump at noon. Running events are slated to start at noon with the 400-meter dash.
