Buffs Wrap Up Final Tune-up at Air Force Twilight Open

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The University of Colorado track and field team wrapped up the regular season Friday at the Air Force Twilight Open with a strong set of performances. Several Buffaloes posted season bests in their final outing before the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Eva Bruce ran 25.02 in the 200 meters. Riley Burkey followed in 25.60. Ava Goetz clocked 15.17 in the 100-meter hurdles.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Aubrey Leneweaver ran 59.20, a season best. Emma Pollak finished in 1:00.72, and Abby Miller crossed in 1:02.35.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Leneweaver, Pollak, Myla Wilkes and Nylah Perry recorded a time of 45.31.
In the high jump, Riley Ward cleared 1.71 meters, Ava Goetz cleared 1.66 meters, Eva Bruce jumped 1.61 meters, and Riley Burkey cleared 1.56 meters.
In the throws, Amanda Opp posted a mark of 53.41 meters in the hammer throw and threw 41.84 meters in the discus. Elena Opp recorded 52.17 meters in the hammer and 42.34 meters in the discus. Ayianna Johnson threw 39.43 meters in the discus.
Alaina Fantaski recorded a mark of 45.89 meters in the javelin.
MEN'S RESULTS
Joshua Johnson ran 10.75 in the 100 meters and 21.36 in the 200 meters.
Marco Martinez did not start in the 110-meter hurdles.
In the long jump, Martinez recorded a best of 5.96 meters. Jackson Meyer did not record a legal mark.
John Bass did not clear a height in the high jump.
Lucas Williams threw 49.50 meters in the discus. John Bass added a mark of 29.68 meters, a season best.
In the hammer throw, Ames Newman recorded a top throw of 53.59 meters.
Martinez also threw 34.95 meters in the javelin.
