GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Colorado Buffaloes cross country team continued its strong start to the 2025 season at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede.

The men's squad once again produced a dominant showing, scoring a near-perfect 16 points by sweeping the top four individual spots. Wilson Georges and Lukas Haug crossed the line together in 17:40.0, with Georges awarded the win. Charles Robertson followed in 17:43.5, while Tanner Newkirk finished close behind at 17:43.7. Kole Mathison (18:01.6) and Drew Costelow (18:12.8) rounded out the top 10 of the 42-man field. The Buffs claimed the team title with a total time of 1:28:48 over the 6-kilometer course.

Men's Results On the women's side, Georgia Bell paced the Buffs with a top-10 performance, clocking 14:32.6. She was followed by teammates Olivia Sheridan, Sofia Francini, and Elliot Pribramsky, while Sierra Parks rounded out CU's lineup.
