TESERO & CORTINA, Italy -- Two Colorado athletes were in action Tuesday at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, competing in alpine skiing and cross-country events.

Gray Competes in Team Combined

Former Buff Cass Gray represented Canada in the inaugural Alpine Team Combined event, skiing the downhill leg for Canada II.

Gray posted a time of 1:41.41, putting Team Canada II in 22nd place after the downhill portion, 4.82 seconds off the lead.

In the slalom run, however, her teammate Ally Nullmeyer was disqualified, preventing the Canadian pair from posting a final result.

Hinckfuss Races in Classic Sprint

Current Buff Hugo Hinckfuss competed in the men's classic sprint, the only Colorado skier entered in the event.

Hinckfuss finished 42nd in the qualification round with a time of 3:23.41. He missed advancing to the heats by just under five seconds, as the top 30 qualifiers moved on to the head-to-head rounds.
