No. 16 Colorado Faces No. 18 Denver With Bragging Rights on the Line

BOULDER— Bragging rights in the Centennial State are on the line Wednesday night as No. 16 Colorado faces No. 18 Denver in a top-20 showdown at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. MT.
The midweek matchup features two of the nation's top 20 programs, both entering with momentum. Colorado (9–3, 2–1 Big 12) is coming off a 10–5 win over Cincinnati on Saturday, while Denver (11–2, 4–0 Big East) defeated Villanova 14–5. The Buffaloes carry a two-game win streak into the contest, while the Pioneers have won three straight.
Denver holds an 8–4 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to 2014, and has won the last three meetings, its longest streak in the series. Wednesday's game marks the highest-ranked matchup between the programs since No. 13 Colorado defeated No. 14 Denver, 14–3, on March 3, 2017.

Colorado defeated Cincinnati, 10–5, on Black and Gold Day to improve to 6–0 at home this season.
Senior attacker Maddie Shoup led all scorers with five goals, while junior attacker Rachel Kennedy recorded her second consecutive hat trick. Freshman attacker Rowan Edson and junior attacker Teagan Ryan each added a goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Elena Oh made three saves in the win.
