CU Field Day presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado Gives Kids a Chance to Play with the Buffs!
April 02, 2026 | General
A popular component of CU's Annual AT&T Black & Gold Day on April 11, Field Day presented by Children's Hospital Colorado gives kids in 8th grade and younger a chance to interact with Buffs student-athletes while participating in fun skills and fitness activities.
The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Franklin Field and includes inflatables as well as various stations where kids can participate in fitness activities with CU student-athletes representing a variety of sports. Field Day participation is free, but registration is required.
Kids can also take part in the Jr. Buffs Spirit Clinic, where kids ages 6-12 can learn a fun and high-energy routine from current CU Cheerleaders and Dancers, and then perform that routine at halftime of the Spring Game inside Folsom Field! Registration for the clinic is required.
Field Day is part of a full weekend of festivities surrounding the Black & Gold Football Spring Game at 1 p.m. on April 11, which will be the first chance for fans to see Coach Prime and the Buffs football team in action. After the scrimmage, fans will be invited to the field for a post-game autograph and picture session with CU football players. Tickets to the game are free, but must be claimed before arriving at the stadium.
