Tragarz Advances To Quarterfinal At NCAA West First Round

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Colorado track and field opened competition Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds, highlighted by Danny Tragarz advancing to the quarterfinal round of the men's 400-meter hurdles.

Tragarz's standout season continued in the men's 400-meter hurdles as the junior clocked a time of 50.44 to place second in his heat and 10th overall, securing a spot in Friday's quarterfinal. Tragarz will need to finish among the top 12 on Friday to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene.
 

In the men's 10k, James Overberg turned in a solid performance to place 24th overall in a field of 48 competitors, wrapping up a strong outdoor campaign.

Colorado continues competition Thursday with Avery Pearson in the women's 800-meter preliminary at 6:50 p.m. MT, followed by Abbey Nechanicky and Ashley Jones in the women's 10k semifinal at 8:10 p.m. MT.
