Pearson Punches Ticket To Nationals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Avery Pearson became the fourth Buffalo to punch her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Saturday, qualifying in the women's 800 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds.

Pearson secured her place in Eugene after finishing third in her heat of the women's 800-meter quarterfinals.Â
The graduate student clocked a time of 2:02.04 to earn an automatic qualifying spot to the NCAA Championships.
With Pearson's qualification, Colorado will send four athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene. Abbey Nechanicky (10,000m), Danny Tragarz (400m hurdles), Kole Mathison (3000m steeplechase) and Pearson (800m) will represent the Buffs.
The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place June 10–13 in Eugene.
