2017: Indoor: Gravelding focused on the heptathlon in his second indoor season in Boulder. He posted a score of 4,287 at the CSM Alumni Classic & Multi and a 3,979 at the Colorado Open.
Outdoor: Gravelding had an impressive sophomore outdoor season for the Buffs and set multiple personal records. At the California Invitational (4/12), Gravelding set PRs in the high jump (5-7.75/1.72), pole vault (13-1.5/4.00), and decathlon (5,360). Other PRs set throughout the season included a measurement of 133-7 in the javelin at the Jerry Quiller Classic (3/18) and a time of 52.60 in the 400-meters at the Fum McGraw Open (3/25).

2016: Indoor: Gravelding competed in two heptathlons as a freshman. He recorded his season best score (4,032) at the Air Force Invite (1/21-22). Gravelding also competed in the heptathlon at the CSM Alumni Classic (12/10-11), recording a score of 3,573 while earning personal bests in the shot put and high jump.
Outdoor: Gravelding saw action in one decathlon, finishing 16th in the ‘B’ section at the California Invitational with a score of 5,065 points. There, he recorded season bests in the 100, shot put, high jump, discus, pole vault and 1,500.

HIGH SCHOOL: Gravelding earned three letters on the Lakewood High School track and field team. As a senior in 2015, he placed third at the league championship in the pole vault. At that same meet, he placed fifth in the high jump and was 13th in the 110-meter hurdles. Gravelding went on to compete at the state championships and placed 17th in the pole vault.

PERSONAL: Nathan D. Gravelding was born on February 26, 1997 in Denver. He is the son of Dan and Naomi Gravelding of Golden, Colo. and has one brother, Connor. He enjoys rock climbing, swimming and listening to music.
