Career—A three-year skier for the Buffs, she skied in 34 of a possible 35 races and finished 32 of those races.  She had 31 top 20, 26 top 10 and 18 top five finishes in her career including 12 podium appearances and three wins.  She earned an All-America award and was three times an All-RMISA selection, including twice on the first team.  All three wins, 10 of her 12 podiums and 13 of her 18 top five finishes were in classic races.  She skied for the Buffs at the NCAA Championships twice.Â
2020 (Senior)—Baangman earned second-team All-RMISA honors, earning a mention on the first or second team for the third straight season despite her overall performance being down a touch in 2020 due to fall injuries she sustained.  She finished all 11 possible races with nine top 10 finishes and four top five finishes with one podium appearance.  Her podium came in the RMISA Championships classic race, proving she was getting back to form at the right time.  Unfortunately, the classic race at the NCAA Championships was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  She led the Buffs twice throughout the season and was the second finisher for CU seven times and also scored for the team in third once, easily earning her third letter.  In Steamboat Springs to open the season at the CU Invitational, she finished seventh in the freestyle and fifth in the classic race, and followed that up with two more fifth place finishes in the DU Invitational in both the classic and freestyle races.  At the RMISA Nordic Qualifier race in Aspen, she finished eighth in the freestyle and seventh in the classic race.  She finished 10th in both races at the Utah Invitational and then after struggled a bit to a 14th place finish in the freestyle race at RMISA Championships, she rebounded with her best performance and first podium of the season in the classic race, taking third.  She was 21st in the NCAA freestyle race with the championships cancelled shortly after the race concluded.Â
2019 (Sophomore)—A first-team All-American in the classic race at the NCAA Championships hitting the podium in third place, she was also named the RMISA Women's Nordic MVP. She picked up right where she left off as a freshman, earning podium appearances in each of the three races shes finished in the first two meets of 2019 and in seven of her 12 finishes this season, including a win in the 15K classic race at Montana State. She earned two podiums at the CU Invitational, third place in the 5K freestyle and second in the 10K classic race. She took second in the classic race at the New Mexico Invitational and then took 11th in the freestyle race. She earned two more podiums in classic races in Alaska at the UAA Invitational and RMISA Championships, where she also took sixth in both freestyle races.  She was named first-team All-RMISA, was the CU Athlete of the Week for the CU Invitational and the RMISA Skier of the Week for the RMISA Championships. She was the Buffs top qualifier for the NCAA Championships, earning the No. 3 qualification spot and No. 2 seed in classic and No. 9 seed in freestyle out of the RMISA.Â
2018 (Freshman)—A first-team All-RMISA selection, she finished second in the 2018 RMISA MVP point standings with 213 … She finished 10 of the 11 races she competed in and in seven of those she placed fourth or better … Had two race victories on the season, both in 5K classic races at the MSU and Utah Invites … Posted a total of four podium finishes – three in the classic and one in freestyle … Collected both RMISA Skier of the Week honors and CU Athlete of the Week honors after her performance at the Utah Invitational where she won the 5K classic race and placed third in the 15K freestyle skate, which was her best freestyle finish of the season … Prior to the start of the NCAA circuit, Baangman won the 10K classic US Super Tour race on Dec. 3 when she was up at the Rendezvous Ski trails racing with the Buffs … After the season she was presented with CU’s Spencer Nelson Award given in honor of the former CU skier to a Buff who overcame adversity and demonstrated a strong work ethic.
Prior to CU—Baangman was on the Sweden U23 National team from 2016-17 and on its Junior National Team from 2013-14  Had competed in seven World Cup races in Sweden prior to coming to CU and her best finish was 47th twice, first on Feb. 15, 2015 in a 10K freestyle skate and later in Falun on Jan. 29, 2017 in a 15K classic. She competed in the Junior World Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and was at the FIS U23 World Ski Championships in 2016 that were held in Brasou, Romania. Her top finish at the FIS U23 World Ski Championships was 21st in the 10K classic race. At the Junior Swedish Championship in 2015, she won the 5K classic races, which was one of two victories and 15 podium finishes in her junior racing days from 2012-15. She also won the 1K classic sprint race in Pitea, Sweden on Dec. 6, 2014. She had a pair of top 10 finishes at the 2016 U23 Sweden Championships, finishing eighth in the 15K double pursuit and ninth in the 10K classic. At the 2017 U23 Sweden Championships he placed 10th in the 15K double pursuit.
High School—She graduated from Wargentinskolan High School in June 2015.
In the Classroom—She is majoring in Integrative Physiology at Colorado.  She was named to the 2018 National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team, which is essentially an Academic All-America honor, for having a 3.5 GPA or high and competing in regionals.
Personal—She was born May 28, 1995 in Stockholm, Sweden and is the daughter of Karin and Bert-Ola Baangman ... Her father is an IT engineer while her mother is a journalist ... She is the middle child of her family, as she has an older sister, Evelina, and a younger sister, Tilde ... She would like to be a professional skier after college and enjoys horseback riding ... Said she chose Colorado because “it seems to be one of the most beautiful places and the conditions for training are great.”
