Career—He competed in 40 of a possible 42 career races and had six top 20 finishes and one top 10 finish, with three top 20 and his only top 10 coming in his final season. He was given the team's Lucie Hanusova Memorial Award as a sophomore, given to those that overcome adversity with smiles and enthusiasm. 

2021 (Senior)—Terranova was named the men’s Nordic captain ahead of the season and had his best season skiing for the Buffs.  He finished all 10 races with three top 20 performances and one top 10 finish, taking 10th in the freestyle sprint races at the CU Invitational.  His three top 20 finishes doubled his career total, the first three coming in the first 30 races of his career and most recent three over a two week span in late January and early February.  He opened the season in 24th in the freestyle and 25th in classic at the RMISA Invitational at Utah, then turned it on in two meets in Colorado, taking 18th in freestyle and 21st in classic at the DU Invitational, and then 10th in freestyle and 15th in classic at the CU Invitational, both career bests.  He closed out the season with four results between 25th and 27th at Soldier Hollow, taking 26th in classic and 27th in freestyle at the RMISA Invitational at Solider Hollow and 27th in classic and 25th in freestyle at the RMISA Championships. 

2020 (Junior)—Terranova finished all 10 races in his junior season, earning two top 20 finishes on the season.  He opened the season with a 22nd place freestyle and 28th place classic performance in Steamboat Springs at the CU Invitational and followed that up with a 26th place classic and 24th place freestyle finish at the DU Invitational in Maloit Park.  He had his best career set of races at the RMISA Nordic Qualifiers in Aspen, taking 17th in the freestyle race before finishing 20th in the Owl Creek Chase, a 21K race from Aspen to Snowmass.  Those were his two top 20 finishes of the season and second and third of his career.  He took 33rd in the freestyle and 31st in the classic races at Soldier Hollow for the Utah Invitational and then closed his season out with a 29th place freestyle and 24th place classic finish at the RMISA Championships in Bozeman.  

2019 (Sophomore)—He competed in eight of 10 races in 2019 leading up to the NCAA Championships.  Early in the season, he improved each race, from his initial 43rd place finish in the first race of the season down to a 33rd place finish in the 20K classic race at Montana State and then a 22nd and 24th place finish at the New Mexico Invitational.  He was sick for the first set of races in Alaska at the UAA Invitational, but bounced back to compete in the RMISA Championships, although not 100 percent, taking 28th in freestyle and 35th in the classic race.  He earned the team's Lucie Hanusova Award for overcoming adversity with smiles and enthusiasm.  He was also named the CU Academic Student-Athlete of the Month in January. 

2018 (Freshman)—He competed in and finished all 12 races through the RMISA Championships/NCAA Western Regional … He scored in one race for the Buffs when he placed 18th in the 10K freestyle skate at the Denver Invitational, which was his top result of the season … Best classical result came at the New Mexico Invite when he placed 21st in the 5K race.

Prior to CU—From 2014-17 he raced with the Junior National Team and in 2017 was on the Junior National Select Team ... For eight years prior to coming to Colorado he was also a member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club ... In 2014, he placed third in a 5K classic race at Soldier Hollow in Utah as a part of the Super Junior National Qualifier ... At a Rocky Mountain Junior National Qualifier held at Steamboat Springs in 2016, he placed second in the 10K classic race ... On Feb. 21, 2016, he came in third at the Vail Junior National Qualifier held at Maloit Park and in 2017 in a 15K freestyle he placed third in the Rocky Mountain Junior National Qualifier. 

High School—He graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in June of 2017. There he was on the Nordic skiing team coached by Josh Smullin and Brian Tate.

In the Classroom—He is majoring in International Affairs at Colorado.  

Personal—He was born on May 12, 1999 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. … He is the middle child of Jodi and Dave Terranova ... His older sister, Samantha, is a junior on the University of San Diego swim team competing in the backstroke and individual medley while his younger sister, Anna, is a senior in high school ... Hobbies include backcountry skiing, biking and “trying my best at golf” … In high school he was the vice president of the Spanish club.
