At Colorado: Career—Entering his fourth season, Seymour has raced in all 33 possible races and finished 15 for the Buffaloes.  

2023 (Junior)—Seymour improved throughout his junior season for the Buffaloes, opening the season with a 46th place finish, he then had six straight finishes ranked between 33rd and 36th and then in Alaska his two finishes there were his best, taking 30th and 28th place.  He raced in all 11 possible races for the Buffs leading up to the NCAA Championships and finished seven of them.  He eanred his second letter and was named to teh Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll for the third time.  

2022 (Sophomore)—Seymour struggled at times his sophomore season, finishing just three of the 12 races he started and picking up finishes of 29th, 31st and 37th in those three races.  He did make it to the second run in six of the final seven races of the season, finishing two of those races.  He earned his first letter as a Buffalo skier and earned mention on the National All-Academic Ski Team and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.  

2021 (Freshman)—Seymour got his college racing career off to a little bit of a bumpy start, earning DNF’s in his first three college races before finishing 21st in the second slalom race as part of the CU’s Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational at Eldora.  He improved that factor of his skiing, finishing four of six races in the Utah series that included two meets in the regular season and the RMISA Championships.  He finished between 30th and 34th in those four finishes.  In all, he finished five of 10 races with a best of 21st in slalom and 30th in GS.  He took care of business in the classroom, being named to both the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team and the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll. 

Prior To CU—Seymour skied for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club since he was five years old.  From 2017-20, he had 64 top 30 FIS finishes with seven top 10s and two podium appearances, both third place finishes, one in a slalom race at Howelsen Hill in the Holiday Classic and the other a GS at Vail.  He has eight Nor-Am Cup starts and finished four of them, the best being 36th in GS and 37th in slalom at Sun Valley in 2019.  He skied in the U.S. National Championships in 2018 and ‘19, finishing all six races and earning a top 10 in alpine combined in 2018 at Sun Valley.  He has skied in RMISA sanctioned races as an individual for each of the last four years, earning a 20th place finish in the GS at Bridger Bowl at the RMISA Championships and taking 23rd in two slalom races, including at Eldora for the CU Invitational and in Park City for the Utah Invitational.   He also made it to the Round of 8 on the World Pro Ski Tour. 

High School—Seymour graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in 2019.  

In The Classroom—He is majoring in Finance from CU’s Leeds School of Business.   

Personal—Chase Jeff Seymour was born Oct. 12, 2000, in Steamboat Springs.  His parents are John and Blair Seymour and he has two brothers, Jett and Trey, who both ski for Denver where Jett was the 2019 NCAA Slalom Individual Champion.  His mom is the youth program director for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.  His hobbies include mountain and road biking, swimming, tanning, photography, pickleball, beach volleyball and rollerblading. He volunteered helping third graders with reading, teaching three- and four-year olds how to ski and coaching mountain biking for ages 8-14.  He likes to unicycle and can solve a rubik’s cube.
