2017: Indoor: Seligman recorded a personal best in every event that she competed in during the indoor season. In the 800-meters, she ran 2:15.98 at the Colorado Open (2/4). In the 3,000, she recorded a time of 9:22.31 in the Husky Classic (2/11). In her final event, the mile, Seligman finished with a time of 4:55.43. 
Outdoor: Did not compete.
 
2016: Indoor: Seligman ran three races as a freshman. She ran a pair of 3,000-meter runs, earning a season best time of 9:34.15 at the Husky Classic (2/13). Seligman raced the 5,000 at the MPSF Championships, finishing fifth overall in 16:35.85.
Outdoor: Seligman had a great campaign for the Buffs, concentrating on the longer distances. She ran three 5,000-meter runs and recorded a season best 16:16.78 at the Stanford Twilight, which was fourth, and qualified her for the NCAA West Preliminary round.
 
CROSS COUNTRY: (2016) Seligman ran in a pair of meets for CU as a redshirt freshman. She was 14th overall at the Metro State Invite and placed fourth at the Bradley Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Seligman owns multiple records at IHS. She is the junior class 1,600 (4:59.74) and 3,200-meter record holder (10:43.83), as well as the senior class record holder in the same events (1,600/5:03.23; 3,200/10:46.08). Seligman ran the 5k cross country record of 18:07. In 2014, the Eagles were the 4A KingCo Conference and 4A BiDistrict I/II Cross Country Champions. During the 2015 track and field season, IHS won the 4A state championship after winning the 4A KingCo Conference and 4A BiDistict I/II meets. Seligman served as the cross country team captain her senior year and was named to the All-KingCo and All-BiDistrict first teams, as well as an all-state medalist. On the track, she was the 3,200-meter KingCo champion and a state medalist. Seligman was named the track and field team’s most improved athlete as a junior after winning the 3,200 KingCo title and also earned state medalist honors. She was also recruited by Northern Arizona and Portland.
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Seligman is majoring in business marketing. She is minoring in women and gender studies. Seligman has earned a GPA greater than 3.30. 
 
PERSONAL: Cayla Esther Seligman was born on August 22, 1997 in Issaquah, Wash. She is the daughter of David and Heidi Seligman and has one brother, Jeffrey. Her father ran cross country and track at Willamette. She enjoys hiking and cooking.
