Academic All-Big 12 (2010, 11)

2011: Indoor: Van Dyke only competed in the weight throw during her final year. She competed in three meets and had a personal record of 49-04 at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight (2/18). The mark was good enough for fifth place.

Outdoor: Van Dyke had a great final campaign as she recorded personal bests in all three events. She started the season with PRs in the shot put and hammer throw at the Potts Invite (3/18-19). She placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 33-08.50 and was 13th in the javelin with a throw of 110-00.  Van Dyke's PR in the hammer throw came at the Front Range Classic (5/1). She took sixth with a throw of 162-03, the fourth best by a Buff during the season.

2010: Indoor: Van Dyke only threw the weight throw during the indoor season. She tossed a career-best mark of 43-09.25 at the New Mexico Classic (2/6).

Outdoor: Van Dyke competed in both the hammer throw and javelin during the outdoor campaign, recording PRs in both disciplines. She earned a personal record of 149-10 in the hammer throw at the Tom Benich Classic (4/3) and placed eighth overall. Van Dyke was sixth in the javelin at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/24) when she recorded a PR of 109-04. 

2009: Indoor: Van Dyke only competed during the indoor season for the Buffs after switching to the throws, making an easy transition in the process. Van Dyke competed in both events at five meets and had her best performance at the Air Force Duals when she recorded personal bests in both events. She recorded a toss of 38-07.50 in the weight throw for 13th place and threw the shot put 32-02.50, which was good for 14th.

Outdoor: Did not compete.

2008: Indoor: Van Dyke competed as a member of the combined events group in 2008. She competed in two pentathlons; recording season-bests at the Potts Invite as well as a sixth-place finish with 2,282 points.

Outdoor: Did not compete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Van Dyke earned three letters as a member of the Huskies' track and field team. She recorded her personal best in the 100-meter hurdles of 16.77 at the Stocker stadium in Grand Junction in 2007. Van Dyke's PR in the 300-meter hurdles was set in 2005.

ACADEMICS: Van Dyke is majoring in management. She was a member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll and has a GPA of 3.365. Van Dyke was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team in 2010.

PERSONAL: Max Anne Van Dyke was born on January 4, 1989 in St. Paul, Minn. Her parents are Paul and Mary Van Dyke of Vail, Colo. She has one younger brother, Nick, an older brother, Peter, and an older sister, Amelia. Peter is a junior at CU and Amelia is in graduate school at CU-Denver. Van Dyke enjoys art, sewing and sports. She has participated in highway clean-ups.
