2008: Crawford competed in the weight throw and shot put in the indoor season. He recorded a personal record in both. Crawford launched a throw of 43-03.00 in the weight throw at the Joe Davies’ Open. His best throw of 37-08.50 in the shot put at the Air Force Invite. During the outdoor season, Crawford threw the discus, hammer throw and javelin. His best throw in the javelin was at the Rob Upton Invite. He recorded a toss of 160-05 and took fifth. Crawford’s best throw in the discus was at the CU Invite. He threw 140-04 and placed 11^th. Crawford recorded a personal record of 126-10 in the hammer throw at the Rob Upton Invite and he placed 13^th.

HIGH SCHOOL: Crawford earned three letters as a member of the U.S. Grant High School team. He was a two-time city champion in the discus and placed seventh at the state championship in the javelin. Crawford owns the USGHS javelin record at 186-06. He was the track and field team captain as a senior. Crawford also earned a letter in water polo his junior year and served as the team captain.

ACADEMICS: Crawford is majoring in civil engineering at Colorado and owns a GPA greater than 3.00. He is a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Crawford is also interested in technical theater and writing fiction. Crawford was the USGHS Valedictorian.

PERSONAL: McCullough Crawford was born on Nov. 4, 1988 in Raleigh, N.C. His parents are David and Chris Crawford of Portland, Ore. He has one older sister, Lindsey.
