2008: Dukes had a successful first indoor season competing in the weight throw and shot put. He took 14^th at the Big 12 Championship with a throw of 45-11.25. Duke’s pr in the event is 47-02.25 which he threw at the Don Barrett Open. In his other event, Dukes saved the best for last as he notched a toss of 57-11.25 in the weight throw at the league championship. He placed 10^th overall. During the outdoor season Dukes continued to compete in all four events but only once in the discus and the shot put. His main events were the javelin and hammer throw, which he competed at the league championship. Dukes took 14^th in the weight throw and 16^th in the javelin. He ranks fifth on the top performers list in the hammer throw with his toss of 184-05 which he threw at the Oregon Relays and placed fifth. Chase is also the sixth best performer in the javelin. His pr of 184-01 ranks 19^th all-time and was earned at the Tom Benich Invite.

2007: Dukes did not participate during the indoor season but picked tried all four-throws in the outdoor season. He earned two personal records at the Wyoming Invite. He recorded a throw of 145-02 in the discus and 173-08 in the javelin. His personal record in the hammer throw was 170-06, which he recorded at the Jack Christiansen Invite. His only throw in the shot put was at the Tom Benich Invite and he placed 13^th (41-06.00).

HIGH SCHOOL: Dukes was a member of the football, wrestling and baseball teams at North Kitsay HS. He was an all-conference performer on the football team as a junior and senior. Dukes was a five-time recipient of an academic award and was a member of the honor roll.

ACADEMICS: Dukes is majoring in Integrated Physiology at Colorado and is interested in pre-med. He owns a GPA of 3.6.

PERSONAL: Chase Dukes was born on July 24, 1985 in Eglon, Wash. to Robert and Dana Dukes. He has two brothers, Kingston and Darren. He lists his hobbies as hunting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, skiing and nature. Dukes has been a volunteer firefighter/EMT. Dukes is engaged to Jovanna Robertson.
