High School: Woods skied for the Vail Mountain school and the Ski and Snowboard Club Vail before attending Colorado. In high school, Woods was the 2006 Skimeister Champion and the 2008 State Champion in the classic discipline. He was a two-time all-state classic and skate selection and served as the captain of the Rocky Mountain Junior National Team. Woods owns three top-two finishes, including a career-best first place classic 5K finish at the Colorado State Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colo. A dual sport athlete, Woods also lettered in soccer at the Vail Mountain School and was a first-team all-state selection as a junior and helped his team capture the 2007-08 CHSSA Championship.

In the Classroom: Woods intends to major in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Cu.

Personal: Christopher Woods was born on September 15, 1989 and is the daughter of Michael and Kimberly Woods of Gypsom, Colo. His younger brother, Sean (17) is also a Nordic skier and is currently a senior in high school. In his spare time, Woods enjoys kayaking and he chose to stay in Colorado and attend CU because Colorado is the most beautiful state in the country.
