AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)—Projected as a defensive lineman in his true freshman year in college. He joined the team as a recruited walk-on for August drills.
HIGH SCHOOL—He lettered four year at defensive tackle, earning All-Colorado honors on the American Family Insurance team, Most Valuable Lineman and first-team accolades in the Pioneer Conference, and was the recipient of the John Lynch Award. He was second-team All-Big Six Conference his junior year. As a senior, he recorded 111 tackles (74 solo, including eight for losses and a quarterback sack), along with four pass deflections and a forced fumble. He had 10 or more tackles in seven games, including 19 (12 solo) in a 35-21 loss to Rock Canyon and 18 (11 solo) in a 38-23 loss to Arapahoe. He had 55 tackles (42 solo, one sack) as a junior, with a season-high 11 in a loss to ThunderRidge, and was in on 49 stops (20 solo, high of 11) with an interception as a sophomore; he saw limited action on the varsity as a 9th grader. Under coach Mike Griebel, Heritage was 4-6 his junior and senior years, 2-8 his sophomore year but was 13-1 his freshman year, winning the 4A state title. He also lettered twice in baseball (first baseman/pitcher); he had a career .320 batting average.
ACADEMICS—He is majoring in Business (undecided on sequence) at Colorado.
PERSONAL—He was born December 1, 1994 in Dallas, Texas. His hobbies include reading. Father (Chuck) played college football at Wyoming and an older brother, Tyler, played baseball at Menlo College.
