This Season ?”Maisha is a sophomore with a lot of untapped potential.  She should be stepping it up with some good results after a good fall of training.”

 

2007 ? Goodpaster saw action in five races, with her best finish coming at the New Mexico Invitational in the 5K classical when she nabbed 28th.  As she struggled to finish the 10K freestyle race at Utah, her only race in that discipline was at Montana State where she took 42nd.

 

High School ? Goodpaster took second in the 2004 Junior Nationals at Lake Placid in the 5k classic, and was third in the freestyle sprint at the same event.  For her high school team, she was the Nordic team MVP as a junior at Truckee and also won the state championship as a freshman and a junior In addition to her skiing honors, Goodpaster was a two-time track MVP and a member of the varsity soccer team.  She won the state championship in the triple jump in 2004.

 

In the Classroom ? Goodpaster a psychology major at Colorado. She was a four time Distinguished Scholar at Truckee High School.

 

Personal ? Maikasha Thuy Goodpaster was born March 28, 1988 in Sacramento, Calif.  She is the daughter of Jude Goodpaster and Mai-Anh Nguyen of Truckee.  She has two siblings, Joaquin, 20, a junior skier at Colorado and Kai, 13­, who is in the seventh grade.
